Intro

We are thrilled to announce that plans are well underway for Spring Fair 2009, happening Saturday, May 9, 2009. This is a great family day, full of fun for all ages. A fabulous International Food Fair will delight any palate, and be sure to save room for ice cream! There will be Games and Activities for the children, many shopping opportunities, including International Goods, a wonderful Garden Stall, beautiful Hand Painted Furniture, a huge selection of Used Goods (books, clothing, jewelry, household goods, toys, games, sporting goods, tools and treasures!) and a spectacular Silent Auction. The past Fairs have been a great success and raised funds to purchase many items for the school, including one of our school buses, a wireless lab, audiovisual and lighting equipment, the Middle School basketball court, furniture for Shafter Hall and much more. All of the funds raised have benefitted our students on each of the campuses.

The success of the Fairs has depended upon many volunteers and the great support received from our school community. We are counting on everyone once again! If you haven’t gotten involved already, how about joining one of our remarkable teams? Look through our complete list of the convenors and booths. If there is an area of particular interest, please call one of the convenors or give us a call, Mary Pollen: 250-818-5859, [email protected], or Patti Mcintyre-Gray: 250-598-2509, [email protected].

Another way to help contribute to the success of the Fair is through sponsoring a booth. If you are not able to volunteer your time, please consider sponsoring a booth at the Fair, and we will ackowlege your contribution on Fair day. There are many possibilities… check out our Booth Sponsorship Program.

Most importantly, mark your calendars and bring your family anf friends to the SMUS Spring Fair, May 9, 2009!

Support the Garden Stall

Pre-Order your Bedding Plants and Annuals Today
The Garden Stall Pre-order forms have been sent home with students or via email and are available in the offices at each campus. This is a wonderful opportunity to support the fair by ordering your bedding plants and hanging baskets. Those of you who ordered last fair will remember the beautiful quality of the plants. They will be delivered on May 4th, (one of the many wonderful Mother’s Day gifts we will have available for purchase) so please send in your form and tell your family and friends too!

Help contribute to the success of our ‘green’ fair! In every area, we are making a great effort to be environmentally friendly, with everything from compostable plates and cutlery to recycling our used goods.  We’d love your help.

We still need more of your Quality Used Goods!

The last Blitz days are Wednesday
April 15, 22, and 29th
We will be at all campuses at drop-off between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
If you have more than you can easily bring to the school, send us an email and we’d be happy to come and pick anything up!

Have you Volunteered Yet?

We need the help of many volunteers on Fair Day. Remember …the entire school benefits from the success of Spring Fair. To volunteer please call, or email, one of the co-chairs.
