Our school mission highlights the importance of preparing students “for higher learning and for life.” Life, to be sure, goes on whether we prepare for it or not, but higher learning necessitates a well-organized plan, considerable research, self-evaluation and discussion.
The SMUS University Counselling department is a primary resource for students and parents, to help them navigate the myriad post-secondary options and paths available in the world today. The main goal of the department is to guide students in finding schools and programmes that are good matches, and then to offer helpful information on procedures, timelines, and application expectations. At the heart of this process are strong personal relationships established on campus.
These web pages are designed to complement, not replace, those personal relationships, providing general information and links to resources for parents and students who should feel free to follow up with a phone call, email, or office visit.

You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
Any direction you choose.”
