Victoria Seedy Saturday is coming up on February 16. This is Victoria’s premier seed and garden event featuring educational speakers, gardening workshops, a seed and book exchange, more than 70 seed and garden related vendors, a cafe and children’s area.
They need help to make this annual event run. Opportunities include seed exchange, cashiers, AV tech support, greeters, children’s activities, book exchange and more. The Esquimalt 5K and 1K Kids Fun Run is looking for volunteers for a variety of jobs. The run is on Saturday, April 6 and it is the most scenic 5K in the region – journeying through Saxe and Macaulay Point Parks.
They are recruiting volunteers for the following positions:
– Package pick-up (April 5 from 7–9 am; April 5 from 5–7 pm; April 6 from 7–9 am)
– Route marshaling (April 6 from 8–10:30 am)
– Start/Finish line (April 6 from 8–10:30 am)
– Food table (April 6 from 8:30–11 a.m.)

Esquimalt Parks and Recreation is hosting Earth Day 2019 celebrations at Highrock Park on April 24. They are looking for volunteers to assist with the delivery of Earth Day activities. There will be a variety of events, games and fun!

The Greater Victoria Down Syndrome Society is hosting the Canadian Down Syndrome Society National Conference in May and they need help to manage the registration desk. With assistance from the conference organizer, you will help to ensure participants are registered and receive required information and forms. The conference is at the Ocean Point Delta Hotel in downtown Victoria.
They need help on Friday, May 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, May 11 from 7:30 am to midday. This opportunity is for people ages 16 and older.
