Open House Season is Here

Paul Leslie

It’s fall and that can only mean one thing at an independent school: open house season. Of course at St. Michaels University School our doors are always open to prospective families, but for those who would like to visit on a day where they will get a unique look at the people and programs that make SMUS such a special place, then our Fall Spark Open House on Friday, October 19 is a great time to visit.

Our aim is to give visitors an authentic and intentional look inside classrooms, and where possible to experience first-hand the joy of learning that our students live every day.

This year’s offerings at the Junior School campus range from a trip to the Imagination Lab and an exploration of our new outdoor spaces at the Junior School campus, while at the Richmond Road campus, our guests will join in on robotics, art and physics classes (among other subjects). We are also offering a special feature this year in that prospective families will have a chance to meet our new Head of School, Mr. Mark Turner. Meanwhile SMUS Admissions team members will be on hand to answer questions and to connect visitors to SMUS current students, alumni, teachers and parents.

As the leaves begin to turn here in Victoria, we are already thinking about how to make the 2019-2020 school year one to remember for a new group of talented students and engaged families like yours. If you know someone who might be interested in joining the SMUS community in the coming year, please direct them to further information and to register online.
