Are you looking for a super fun time and a way to get involved in the music scene in Victoria? You’ve found it! Victoria’s 19th Annual Ska and Reggae Festival is looking for volunteers! Festival dates are June 20-24.

On Sunday, August 5, tens of thousands of people will take to Victoria’s Inner Harbour for the 29th annual Victoria Symphony Splash. From a floating stage in the Inner Harbour, the orchestra and special guests will perform, ending with a grand finale performance of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture – with fireworks, of course!

The Greater Victoria Down Syndrome Society is seeking volunteers to help out at their GO21 Walk and Fun Day for Down Syndrome on Sunday, June 3, 2018. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Beckwith Park in Saanich.

The Kiwanis Care Pavilion in Oak Bay is seeking a piano player to help with the Church Services on the fourth Thursday of every month from 10–11 am. They also need help portering residents and helping them engage in the service.

TLC (The Land Conservancy) is seeking garden lovers to join their team of volunteers at Abkhazi Garden. Various levels of gardening knowledge are welcome. The garden has dramatic glaciated rocky slopes, magnificent native Garry oaks and gorgeous vistas. The garden flows around the rock, taking advantage of deeper pockets of soil for conifers, Japanese maples and rhododendrons! It is a beautiful place.
