Service Opportunities – November 23

Members of the Volunteer Club made chili for the Women's Transition House.

Craigdarroch Castle has a dynamic volunteer program that sees a wide range of people sharing their time to provide visitors with the information and stories that make a visit to Craigdarroch a fun, family friendly experience.

They are looking for a gift shop volunteer who will assist in the store store by processing sales, wrapping and bagging merchandise, and restocking shelves. You will answer final questions the visitors might have and guide them to their next destination! All with a big smile! They are always seeking long-term commitments but require a minimum of six months.

To find out more about becoming a volunteer please stop by the Castle to pick up an application or call 250-592-5323 ext. 32 or email [email protected].

The SMUS Parents’ Auxiliary is hosting the Annual SMUS Christmas Gala on December 2 and they need volunteers before the event and the morning/afternoon of the event to help with decorating and setting up. They have an online sign-up system with all of the details. **If you are a boarding student you will be attending the event as a guest, so please don’t sign up for any jobs during the event (6 p.m. onward) because you will be eating and dancing!

You will work one-on-one with seniors on Tuesdays from 4:00 to 4:45 p.m. There will be breaks for winter, spring and summer holidays.

If you are interested, please contact Alison at [email protected].
