Do you know a student who would excel at St. Michaels University School? The Best School Year Ever® scholarship contest is back and we’re searching for amazing high school students to join our boarding community!
This year we’re awarding 20 boarding scholarships to give more students the opportunity to live and study at SMUS.
“We’re really excited that The Best School Year Ever has grown again. So many great students have come to SMUS through The Best School Year Ever and have had a positive impact on our community,” says Paul Leslie, Director of Admissions and Engagement. “We’re thrilled to offer more scholarships this year so we can bring even more students of the same caliber into the SMUS community.”
We’ve also launched a new Best School Year Ever website complete with everything you need to know about the contest. There you’ll find videos from past winners, answers to all your BSYE questions and tips to help make your video. And throughout the contest the BSYE Insider will be updated with posts that highlight the opportunities you’ll have as a SMUS student.
We want to thank the student volunteers who helped us make this year’s great video, especially Sophia, Will and Mark who shared their stories and experiences about boarding at SMUS.
Keep an eye on the BSYE website because later this fall we’ll share some more great videos about the contest.
Entering The Best School Year Ever video contest is simple. Students just make a short video (no more than 3 minutes long!) and upload it to YouTube. Then they complete the BSYE entry form and upload their two most recent report cards.
One student will win a full boarding scholarship, worth $55,000, for the 2018-19 school year. There are now five finalist prizes each worth $35,000. And we’re also awarding 14 runner-up prizes worth $15,000 each.
The contest closes at midnight on January 8, 2018.
