EOSHot Dog Wednesday is back!

What is Hot Dog Wednesday, you ask? Working with the Extreme Outreach Society, we set up a cart in Blanshard Court to serve hot dogs and juice to children and community members, and play all sorts of games with them like skipping, sidewalk chalk, soccer, tag and hide and seek. It is a great chance to connect with some amazing kids, serve some hot dogs and brush up on your BBQ skills.

The dates we are going are May 10, May 17, May 31 and June 14. Transportation and a chaperone are provided. Please email Ms. Parker to let her know if you would like to come along on any of these dates.

marrionMarrion Village (part of Baptist Housing) is a local seniors’ residence and they are in need of volunteers to help with technology and music. Hours and times are flexible.

They are looking for patient, friendly people to teach residents basic computer skills such as Facebook, Skype, email and online banking. Learning these basic computer skills will give the residents opportunities to connect and keep up with family members who do not live in Victoria. It could also allow those with mobility issues to accomplish tasks like banking from home.

Do you have the gift of music? Do you play an instrument well? Do you like to perform? They are also looking for some musical entertainment for their Residents!
