In Greater Victoria, The Mustard Seed has been at the forefront of fighting hunger and restoring faith to people living in poverty and the working poor, since 1975. It runs Vancouver Island’s largest food bank, a clothing bank, a church and a family center, and provides counseling services, life-skills training and addictions recovery programs. The Mustard Seed serves over 5,000 meals per month, and more than 50 volunteers keeping things running. Its programs and services are nearly 100 percent community funded.
The Mustard Seed currently seeks volunteers for their seasonal events – the Christmas Gift Wrap, and the Toy and Food Hamper program.
