Artemis Place Society (just up the road on Richmond) is looking for volunteers to help finish up a painting job. They need help on Sunday December 12th from about 11 am to 1 pm.
They have the baseboards in the hallway taped and primed, ready to have the final coat put on! This is a great job for 6-8 people (it would only take an hour or so).
If you are interested please email Mrs. Parker.
Artemis Place Society was initiated in 1971 in response to a concern over the lack of resources for young women who had left school or who were experiencing difficulty with the traditional school system. At that time, the society established the Girls’ Alternative Program (GAP) to meet the educational and social needs of young women in a smaller, more personal setting. As well as help with self-paced course work, girls were given counselling, mentorship and life skills in an atmosphere of safety and respect.
