The Fruit Tree Project links people who have surplus fruit in their yards with volunteers who have the willingness and ability to harvest it, and then delivers the fruit to people and community groups that do not have access to fresh produce. This season the Life Cycles Project Society is aiming to rescue 40 000 pounds of fruit that would otherwise go to waste.
This volunteer role is sweet and simple, help pick the fruit! In return volunteers split 25% of the fruit harvested from each tree. You can join for just one pick or every week of the harvest season.
