"Howdy partner!" Barn Dance Strengthens SMUS Community

SMUS-Junior-Barn-Dance-02

Barn dances have long been associated with socializing and community-building. And that’s no different at SMUS, as our Junior School hosted its annual Barn Dance last weekend. Families came out in droves (and full-on cowboy attire) to enjoy games, food, music and dancing. It’s always a fun event, and a great way for our greater school community to mix and mingle in a special setting.

Grade 2 Reflections

“I liked the barn dance because I loved all of the dances! I really enjoyed spending time with my friends. My favourite part of the barn dance was the photo booth because I loved all of the photos that people took. I loved having so much fun! I can’t wait for the next barn dance!” — by Cate

“I think it was quite different than I thought it would be. They taught us lots of dances and fun games. You get to run around and dance to music.” — by Derishti

“It was very fun. There were lots of times when there were good songs playing and I just wanted to dance.” — by Will C

“I really loved the music and my favourite part was when I did the Conga.” — by Zachary

“Some people had fake toy guns. I saw my old Grade 5 buddy there.” — by Roshan
