Representatives from both Admissions and the Faculty of Law were here this morning to talk about the merits of this university 45 minutes outside of London. Much like Jake Humphries revealed in his post after his visit there four years ago, there is a lot to be discovered on this campus of 9000 students. They have earned a strong reputation for academic excellence and (ranked 15th in the UK, 36th in Europe, and 119th worldwide in The Times Higher Education World University Rankings) and have now admitted their first students this year to a new degree in law as part of the Law, Criminology and Sociology division.
This university also boasts a beautiful campus setting with 11 halls of residence and an active student life, a somewhat unusual set-up compared to many English universities. In addition, they offer a variety of scholarships for international students, including a new scholarship for law applicants called Magna Carta. to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta which took place just down the road from Royal Holloway in 1215. With Windsor Castle just over the hill, you will find yourself surrounded by history.
