On Thursday, September 4, University Counselling hosted an information evening for Grade 12 students and parents to disseminate important information about what this year looks like in terms of the post-secondary application process. The recorded video of that event is above. In it, you will hear Virginia Ronning, SMUS Director of Counselling and Wellness, speak about resilience and the transition to post-secondary life, followed by information about applying to universities in Canada (presented by Alison McCallum), the US (Kate Knight), and then UK and other international destinations (Jake Humphries).
Below are the documents that were available that evening:
Grade 12 Timeline Sept. 2014: year long timeline for applications and scholarships
testing timeline 2014-15: standardized test dates for the upcoming year
Parent Info Eve_Can_US_UK_Intl 2014_2015 : powerpoint slides from the evening presentation
If you have any questions or would like to review any of the information, please get in touch with your (or your son/daughter’s) Academic Advisor. We look forward to supporting the grade 12s through this process.
