Welcome back, and if you are a new student to St. Michaels University School, welcome to the school!
At SMUS, every student in the Senior School does at least 10 hours per year of off campus volunteer work. You may have the opportunity to do some of these hours with your boarding house, your homeroom, your sports team or through the Volunteer Club. You may also choose opportunities you do on your own.
Every week I send out an email with links to the blog, full of volunteer opportunities. Some of these are SMUS sponsored (where we send a group with transport and chaperones) and others are individual (where you make contact and sign up on your own).
We use a tracking system where you can log volunteer and work experience hours. It was revamped over the summer so has a totally new look. It also outlines how to log your hours.Below are the new instructions for logging in, which you do through Family Connection (Naviance). Look for the link on the left hand side of your Family Connection homepage.
If you have previously accessed the x2VOL tracking system directly, I encourage you to use the Family Connection link.
If you are having trouble, please let me know. My office is right beside the Staff Room in the Crothall Building. I am in Monday, Wednesday and Thursday each week.
