Kids Help Phone’s Walk so Kids Can Talk presented by BMO is a fun, healthy, family friendly event. It’s a terrific way to build community and come together to enjoy a great experience outdoors while supporting a vital cause: young people’s mental health and well-being. Children and youth aged 5 – 20 reach out to Kids Help Phone when in need on many issues facing you people today including bullying, self-harm, eating disorders, sexual orientation, physical and sexual abuse and suicide. Kids Help Phone is the leading national anonymous, confidential and non-judgmental counseling service available to Canadians kids and youth 24/7/365 and is often the only life line kids and youth have when they have no one else to turn to or speak with or who might understand what they are going through.
The walk is their largest national fundraising event and ensures that they can continue to be there for the 5,000 contacts they receive each week from kids and youth in need. The Walk so Kids Can Talk will be held on, Sunday May 4, 2014. They are looking for fun, outgoing and committed volunteers to be a part of the Walk so Kids Can Talk and to help out on the day of the event.
