In Japanese class this week, we had five Japanese university students come and spend the class with us. It was a lot of fun singing with them and playing with all the Japanese toys they brought with them. I especially liked playing with the kendama. Kendama is a traditional wooden game where you try to catch the wooden ball connected with a string in the holes on the sides of the toy; I found it very hard and lots of fun. I also learned how to make an origami blossom petal from two of the Japanese girls. It was a very cool experience for us and I hope that the Japanese students had as much fun as we did.
