The 3rd annual Fall FAIRfield: Harvest Fete is the FGCA’s give-back event to thank the residents of Fairfield/Gonzales for their ongoing support in a way that infuses energy and comradery into our engaged community. Come celebrate harvest and the changing of seasons among the Garry oaks, giant papier mache apples, and flower Mandala. Enjoy the sights and sounds of neighbours and children partaking in weaving, stilt walking, scarecrow making, live roots music by the Sweet Lowdown, call dances, and local food.

Volunteer positions available:

1. Postering Volunteer – 4 volunteers needed

Approx. 4 hours during the 2 weeks prior to FALL FAIRfield- Sept 16th – 27th – can be done at any time during business hours.

In teams of 2, put up FALL FAIRfield posters around Fairfield/Gonzales area. All supplies provided.

2. Neighbour Notification Volunteer – 2 volunteers needed

Approx. 2 hours during the week prior to FALL FAIRfield- Sept 23rd to 26th

In a team of 2, distribute event notification notices into neighbours’ mailboxes (approximately 50 notices to distribute). Can be done any day from Monday to Thursday, any time before 8pm, with pickup of supplies before 5pm at Fairfield Community Place.

3. Set-up or Take down – 5 volunteers needed

10:00AM-12:00AM OR 5:00-7:00pm, Saturday Sept. 28th

Assist with set-up OR take-down of event. Some lifting and physical effort may be required.
