Volunteer at the Maritime Museum of BC

Do you have an interest in history, and would like to give back to your community?

The Maritime Museum of BC is looking for:
-Dedicated young individuals who are keen on providing a few hours of their time (weekly/biweekly) in our gift shop welcoming guests to the museum, taking admission, and providing interesting facts to ensure each person has a hospitable and memorable visit.
-Energetic, creative individuals who enjoy working with kids and hosting/helping out with small events. This would include activities such as build a boat, pirate school, and Salty Sunday activities.

While you give back to the community you will also learn an abundance of skills

Skills You Will Acquire:
-An understanding of Victoria’s rich marine and collective history.
-Communication skills by providing guests with information about the museum.
-Development of leadership skills by leading guests through provided activities.
-Personal integrity and commitment to your work; it is important that you treat every volunteer position like a paid occupation.
