This position entails volunteering every Wednesday for four weeks in May 2013 – starting on May 8th and ending on May 29th. Each session will consist of 1.5 hours, from 6:15 pm -7:45 pm, during which the volunteer will be responsible for organizing the chess program.
This includes, but is not limited to, setting up and clearing away the chess boards, teaching beginners the basic moves of chess, and facilitating a rotating movement of players. While previous chess training definitely helps, no prior experience is required – training will be provided to prepare the volunteer for all scenarios.
