Holiday Songs Brighten Winter Season

Carols are a staple of Christmas celebration, and with a student body packed with amazing singers, it seems only natural that SMUS contributes a lot of holiday cheer through music.

Recently, two very different events featured SMUS vocalists. First, the Junior School hosted its annual Primary Concert, where singers in Kindergarten to Grade 3 sang and danced for a crowd of parents and a gave a special performance for their grandparents followed by an afternoon tea. Secondly, Senior School voices could be heard in downtown Victoria on November 27 as part of the 28th annual Christmas Lights Across Canada Ceremony. The SMUS Choir was invited to sing at the BC Parliament Buildings, where they gave a great rendition of “Joy to the World” before the official lighting of the Legislature’s tree.
