We had a fun Greek festival. Before today we studied a Greek god or goddess of our choice. Using our knowledge, we were able to create a speech to give in first person about our Greek god or goddess. We got to dress up as our God and act like we were Greek! Everyone was put into a group and every group was named after a city state in Greece. We played fun Greece-related games and ate the best Greek lunch! Everyone brought Greek food – it was kind of like an all-you-can-eat buffet, for free! I loved Greek day and I wish we could do it every year!

Today at school we had a Greek Day. We all had lots of fun because we played games and had a Greek banquet. We did this today because all term we have been studying Greek gods and Greek mythology. We had lots of fun and we learned a lot.

We were all dressed up in our Greek goddess and god costumes. We all studied a God and dressed up as them. All of us made up a speech out of what we learned as we studied. The speech was in first person and we really got into our god/goddess’ personality. My favourite part was the feast as we got to eat as much food as we wanted to. It was the best school lunch I ever had! We all learned a lot and I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.
