Do you want to gain experience working with children ages 3 to 5 years? Are you interested in art? This opportunity may be perfect for you. The art camps offer exciting programming for participants to explore different forms of art, while having tons of fun doing it.
Children will be encouraged to explore many different art mediums using paint, paper, glitter and much more. Gym time and circle time will round out the fun.
As a volunteer, you will be there to help support the instructor who is an experienced community artist with lots of years leading similar community arts programs. You will be able to learn from her as you help the kids through their fun week at camp.
The volunteer will be expected to:
Assist with setting out and organizing art supplies.
Directly help children with their art projects.
Other related duties.
The volunteer must also:
Have an interest in young children and the arts.
Be able to volunteer for all five days of the camp (Monday to Friday Session 1 July 16-20 or Session 2 August 13-17, 2012, 12:45 pm-3:30 pm).
Complete a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
Complete Child Protection Training (done in-house).
You will have the opportunity to work with a high energy instructor who is passionate about the arts and kids. You will help young children tap into their own imagination through the arts.
