A SMUS Holiday Montage!

December is full of holiday celebration at SMUS. From the delicious shortbread cookies baked in Brown Hall to the pile of snow brought in as as a grad prank, the spirit of the season is alive all over the school. Please enjoy this video wrap-up of some of our favourite bits of holiday fun. Thanks to the SMUS Film Club for sharing their footage of the annual Christmas assembly and to all the teachers and students who put their time into these events.

SMUS Holiday Events

  • Grade 12 Link Leaders helped the Grade 9 students get festive with a gingerbread building contest where they had to duplicate School House.
  • Teachers worked the grill in order to serve up a pancake breakfast for students, who were asked to donate a bit of money towards cystic fibrosis in exchange for their meal.
  • The Junior, Middle and Senior Schools all held Carol Services to reflect on the meaning behind the season. The Junior School service included readings, songs and a nativity scene.
  • At the annual Christmas assembly, students sang songs about Santa and chemistry, performed an outrageous skit featuring impersonations of their teachers, and the whole school came together for “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
