Junior Students Get Spooky for Halloween

The children of the Junior School are eagerly anticipating a wonderful afternoon of Halloween activities on Monday. This week they have been preparing for the festivities with some pumpkin carving and art activities to decorate the school. The Grade 5 leaders of the school are creatively decorating the gym to prepare for the full school gathering on Monday when there will be a special Halloween assembly with a costume parade, a Halloween story and Halloween songs. Following the assembly the children will go through stations in the school, enjoying Halloween activities and treats.

The Service Club is co-ordinating the collection of cans of food for the Hallowe’en for Hunger campaign – with the Free the Children organization. It is hoped that each child will bring a can into the Halloween assembly and the Grade 5 students will be counting cans as a part of a house competition – the house with the most cans will earn many house points.

Everyone is looking forward to a wonderful Halloween celebration at the Junior School!
