An Essential Leadership Skill

A Free Communication Course for Youth.

Think of successful leaders you know. They have one trait in common – the ability to communicate effectively. Sponsored and conducted by Toastmasters International and its local clubs, Youth Leadership helps young people build their communication and leadership skills. The program’s unique eight-session workshop enables participants to develop this potential through practical experience.

The Greater Victoria Public Library and Toastmasters International are offering this free Youth Leadership Communication course for youth age 12-17, at the Oak Bay library. It is “hands on” — youth run the meetings, speak often, and evaluate each other’s speeches — all under the guidance of experienced Toastmasters.

The sessions are being held at the Oak Bay Branch of the Greater Victoria Library on Saturdays, October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, November 5, 12, & 19. from 2:00-4:00 pm. Register online at www.gvpl.ca.
