Junior Girls Soccer
The Junior girls came out strong on Tuesday against St. Andrew’s. Within seven minutes, Allie White scored off a cross in front of the net. Fifteen minutes later, Erin Hope and Allie White made a great play near the end line to set up Shannon Toogood with a perfect pass that allowed her to score. Two minutes after this, Erin Hope claimed her own goal. Towards the end of the first half Jackie McKay scored a nice goal from out far. The second half the girls continued to dominate but laid off their pressure and worked on possession and switching the ball. Abbey Piazza scored a nice goal to finish the game 5-0.

On Wednesday, the Jags hosted Oak Bay. Two goals were scored in the fist half by Oak Bay but the girls worked hard defensively and managed to hold them to a 2-0 loss. Yasmin Roudsari played well in net in the second half.

This concluded league play for the Junior girls soccer team and the girls finished 4th in their pool. This week will be a big week for the girls. On Tuesday, we are hosting St. Margaret’s who have challenged us for our 4th place position. On Thursday, if victorious from Tuesday, the girls will be facing 1st place team Stelly’s in the first round of the City Finals.
