SEA+L Student Leadership Conference

Interested Grade 10 or 11 students can apply to attend the SEA+L (Standards in Excellence and Learning – formerly CAIS) Student Leadership Conference.  Four delegates will be selected to attend and participate with other student leaders from Independent Schools across the country. Applications are available on the Student Moodle under Senior Leadership: http://smus.ca/intranet.html and are due January 24th.

The Student Leadership Conference is being held from April 27 – 30, 2011 at Sacred Heart School of Halifax, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The theme of the conference is “Make a Wave” which will highlight individuals and groups who have challenged the norm to make a difference and inspire others to do the same. There will be guest speakers, volunteer opportunities, leadership activities and a chance to see some of Nova Scotia as students explore Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, and historic Lunenburg on various excursions.
