Volunteer at the Victoria Conservatory of Music for a fun and rewarding experience. Volunteer duties may include taking tickets at the door, being an usher or counter at performances, concert set up or take down, or working the concession at shows.
When you volunteer at the VCM you will:
• Experience first-hand some amazing events! Stroll through some of Victoria’s finest private gardens during the VCM’s Annual Mother’s Day Garden Tour, or enjoy beautiful music at our donor appreciation event for our most important donors in the Crescendo’s Circle.
• Enjoy free concerts! Several hundred performances take place in Alix Goolden Hall each year and when you volunteer to help at those events, you will have the chance to enjoy those concerts at no charge – simply by taking some time to help us before or after the show.
• Get the opportunity to meet and work with highly talented people in the VCM community! Many of our faculty are world-renowned musicians – and our own students are top notch performers. Experience what it’s like to be part of a community of musicians and music lovers.
• Be able to use the Victoria Conservatory of Music as a reference! Whether you’re looking to apply for a new job or for scholarships and bursaries, you’ll be able to add VCM to your list of supporters.
The mission at the Victoria Conservatory of Music (VCM) is to enrich lives through music as a regional Centre of Excellence, open and accessible to all who desire a meaningful connection with music. When you become a volunteer for the VCM, you can help turn that mission in to reality.
