Junior Students Try to Save the Farm

by Jamison, Grade 5

It was a really nice day out and it was the end of the day. Almost everyone brought a donation for Madrona farm. All the kids in their farmer clothes came to the seedling stand in the quad. Everyone got a Garry Oak tree seedling and not everyone accepted it, but they still brought a donation. It was a very fun day and the kids were so excited. I have never seen them that excited before. That was definitely the highlight of the week ㅡ no, make that the month. No, definitely the year! It was a fun day and I am looking forward to a good conclusion.

The students efforts raised $716.77 for the cause and they were featured in the The Land Conservancy’s newsletter.
