The purpose of the Dogwood District Awards is to acknowledge superior achievement in four specialty areas: Fine Arts, Physical Activity and Leadership, Second Languages and Applied Skills. Each qualifying candidate receives an immediate award of $500 and a voucher for $500 to be spent on post-secondary education.
Students who demonstrate superior abilities in music, dance, studio arts, photography, theatre, visual arts, physical activity, sports leadership, journalism, yearbook, visual arts, computer programming, languages, creative writing and debate are all encouraged to apply.
This year the awards adjudication evening will be held at St. Margaret’s School on April 26. All students who wish to be considered for the award must be present at the adjudication evening.
Deadline for applications is April 15, 2012.
