The Middle School celebrated the end of another excellent year on Friday with their closing ceremonies.
Director of the Middle School Xavier Abrioux gave his final address to the students, congratulating them on their successes before they go their separate ways for the summer.
Highlights included the performance by the Grade 6 Choir, and the beautiful orchestra selection after the Grade 6 and 7 awards. After the presentations for each of the grades, special awards were given out to students who made notable leadership, athletic and academic contributions to the school. A year filled with activity and achievements was well summarized in the memorable year-in-review slide show.
On Thursday, the Middle School had their last house games for the year. Beautiful weather and high spirits made the event fun and hilarious, with competitions like carrying the egg on a spoon, loudest team cheer, the three-legged race and the classic tug-of-war. The games concluded with everyone’s favourite event, the water balloon toss – a quenching finish to a hot day and the school season.
