More than 40 students will walk the runway at the annual Grad Fashion Show tonight. This year, the much-anticipated show promises to be showcase of “looking good,” featuring casual and formal wear. The show is run entirely by the graduating class of 2008, which includes the planning and the production.
Local retailers throughout Victoria have donated outfits for the models to wear while they strut their stuff down the catwalk. The grads have been planning the event for several weeks and they “hope to make the show a memorable one,” says Grade 12 student Michael Persson.
Proceeds from the show will go the Grad Fund, which supports a charity, grad events and activities, as well as the purchase of a gift which the Grad Class will offer to the school.
The show will begin at 7:30 pm in the Senior School Double Gym and tickets can be purchased at the door for $15 and is open to all SMUS community, family and friends. Seating is first come first serve, so come early. Light refreshments will be available after the show.
