New Jag in Single Gym
The Athletic Department at SMUS would like to thank the Grad Class of 2007, and in particular, McKyla MacIntyre, for generously directing their grad funds for the creation of the new gym mural. There has been much buzz about the giant blue Jag, and we are confident that it will provide the athletes with some extra motivation and school spirit for years to come.

Record Turnout for Tryouts
Coaches were thrilled to see both high turnout and high excitement at tryouts this year. Now that tryouts are over and the team rosters are finalized, coaches and students can begin to plan for their fabulous seasons ahead.

Senior Girls Field Hockey
The Senior Girls Field Hockey Team was in action at Brentwood College over the weekend in the Friendship Cup Tournament. The team was in tough position, as they played against many of the top AAA schools. The team finished with a 1-3 record, which earned them 7th place. Goaltender Victoria Sapsford performed extremely well and played a large part in her team’s success. Other key performers included Jackie Carson and newcomer Henriette Commichau. Coach Lilly was impressed at the team’s improvement throughout the tournament and he believes this team possesses great potential.
